Madison 61-52 after three. De La Rosa again went in and ripped a rebound out of 6-6 Tyler Wood’s hands, dribbled out, then went back in for a layup.

Noe De La Rosa definitely has impressed me with how hard he’s fought. He’s had like three shots blocked already, but he keeps going after the ball after the block, not giving up on the play. After he had another layup blocked in the second quarter, he went and stole the outlet pass for a layup.

Still, Madison didn’t play Charlie Harper or Roshun Jackson in the second quarter. Not sure why, and that’s got to be part of the reason the game is still close. But give credit to the Bobcats, too. Unlike in the first game, McHi vs. Wagner, when I said the game was essentially over at halftime, I by no means feel that way right now about this one.

Second half’s about to tip off. Here we go.

Madison leads 38-31 at halftime. Arriola found Al Perez for a backdoor layup with seven seconds left in the first half and Terrence Howard missed a transition jumper at the buzzer. With 1 minute left, Chris Flores hit a 3 from about 23 feet, cutting the Bobcats’ deficit to 35-29. This is pretty impressive stuff from Edinburg considering how huge the height difference is. More in a sec.
